AEB: Russia’s new car, LCV sales fall 4% to 136,040 units in July
MOSCOW, Aug 5 (PRIME) -- Russia’s sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) fell 4.1% on the year to 136,040 units in July, because in the same month of 2020 the pandemic restrictions were lifted and people rushed to buy cars, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) said on Thursday.
In January–July, sales rose 28.9% on the year to 957,160 units.
"The next months will show further corrections linked to limiting effects of worldwide production cuts following the shortage of electronic components," Thomas Staertzel, Chairman of the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee, said, as quoted in the statement.
